Dogwood Cove
shan_isaiah.jpg - 7060 Bytes Our family of five resides in Hanson, Kentucky. Many years ago I discovered corgis and quickly fell head over heels for them. Originally it was pems that captured my heart, but through time, I have discovered I prefer the more mellow temperament of the cardigan. While our focus is cardis, there are other members of our family without fancy bloodlines or purebred pedigrees. Also my pem baby who is a perfect example of why I fell for the breed originally. They are just as important to us and just as loved.
We have two housedogs that are not corgis. Moppett,a terrier mix, a humane society rescue and Lily, a shih-tzu, we have had since before we married. Dodger, a mastiff mix, serves as a stoic sentry. Tassie, a collie mix rescue, is an incredible dog who serves as babysitter for my boys and puppies. I have rescued many "throwaways", but these have become permanent fixtures and an integral part of our family. Nada is a pembroke welsh corgi. She is my sweetie, greeting every guest with a hug and a demand for belly rubs. Trent Tassy.jpg - 22991 Bytes
isaiahdogs.jpg - 8755 Bytes These dogs are appropriately spayed or neutered. We recommend that any animal not intended for breeding purposes be sterilized as soon as possible. While we love our puppies, raising them is a serious undertaking and one not to be considered lightly.
Also a part of our family here at Dogwood Cove are our goats. They are fun, friendly pets and really are just three more "dogs" with which the kids play. The goats and our chickens help to teach our pups that all other animals are a normal part of daily life. trentcalebgoat.jpg - 8153 Bytes
briancaleb.jpg - 8153 Bytes My husband helps look after our pets and is always willing to spend time making sure I have whatever I need for their care. Brian masquerades as a telecommunications engineer during the day and web designer at night
The boys spend hours each day, when weather permits, outside playing while I work and spend quality time with all our critters. I hope these pictures bring a smile to your face and warm you heart as much as they do ours. nadatrentlunch.jpg - 8153 Bytes
